TVL-EIM

If you are really not sure if you will be able to pursue any degree after Senior High or if you want to earn money immediately after graduation, then this track is for you. Even without college, Technical-Vocational-Livelihood track will equip you with job-ready skills in the future.
This track also invests primarily on skills that can gain you requisite COCs (Certificates of Competency) and NCs (National Certifications) which would be essential when looking for better career opportunities in agriculture, electronics, and trade. This is also important when applying abroad where the skills you gain would prepare you as you join the workforce.
Also, according to the Department of Education, the TVL specializations may be taken between Grades 9 to 12. Exploratory Subjects at 40 hours per quarter are taken during Grades 7 to 8.
Just like in the Academic Track, there are four strands you can choose from to make sure that you will go with your right fit.

There are two types of breakers; a two-pole breaker for 220 volts, and a single pole for 110 volts. On the handle of each breaker is a number that indicates the amperage rating.Power travels through electrical wires from the panel to the outlet. The standard outlet in most houses is a 20 amp duplex. This kind of outlet would be used for a residential size air compressor. The faceplate of each outlet is particular to the voltage amperage and phasing of the outlet. The outlet next to the air compressor outlet is a 220 volt, 30 amp outlet (used for clothes dryers and some shop equipment). It has a neutral and ground configuration. There are also twist-lock outlets and straight blade outlets. With twist lock outlets, turn them after inserting the plug to keep the plug from coming out of the wall. Some outlets may have a red ring around them. That is a three-phase outlet. These are not found in residential homes, but may be found in a shop outside the home. Each outlet has a National Electrical Manufacturers Association number. The first two digits indicate the type of faceplate; the last two indicate the amperage for which the outlet is rated.

Safety Glasses
You need to have a voltage tester of some type for electrical work, and one that you trust is working properly!  This can be anything from a $2 neon voltage check, to a $2000 digital multi-meter, or anything in between.  The important thing is to ensure that it is working so you can verify that you have the power off on any circuit you may be working with.  Check it on a known live source before trusting it to determine if your circuit is dead.Your personal safety should be the most important consideration.
Goggles and safety glasses, gloves, long-sleeve shirts, long pants or bluejeans, hard hat, etc.  A large dose of common sense is required here.  Think about the hazards and protect yourself accordingly before taking on any task.

The Electrical Tools And Equipment

Tool Box
Power DrillI have given you a list of many equipment here that you may need; some are absolutely essential, and some that will not be required or are just nice to have, depending on the complexity of the job at hand.  There are many more electrical tools available, and lots of gadgets that are designed to make the job easier.  Some work well, some not.
I will be adding more articles taking a closer look at some of the  and equipment listed here in the near future.  Plus, watch for my upcoming video where I “showcase” my personal toolbox and its contents. They won’t fit in your toolbox, but you will need the appropriate size for the height you will be working atGreat idea to have a notepad in your toolbox to make diagrams, to take notes or reminders of how things were before disconnecting them, etc.
